As a photographer and our family’s designated memory keeper, photos play an important role in our everyday story. I’ve been seeing my life through the lens for the past 30 years, and the perspective it’s given me has been invaluable. Through photography, I’ve learned to appreciate my life as it is right now instead of wishing for better days ahead. Sandwiched between the tedium of everyday living, I find a million joyful moments—if I’m looking for them. I’m so thankful for the way my camera offers me gentle reminders to have patience, slow down, and enjoy life’s simple moments as they happen. Life is full of precious moments and rather than encourage us to miss these moments in the act of taking a photograph, photography can do the opposite and encourage us to embrace each moment and truly experience it. It brings me great joy to know that the photos we create together will serve as a time capsule of the most special moments of your big day. And not just for you, but for generations to come. Because when we capture these memories, we ensure that future generations will be able to look back and know their family's story - how they laughed, and how they loved.
